What a strange thing to ask! Strange but true…
Researchers at the University of Florida have found that people whose sense of taste is less acute tend to be fatter than people with more sensitive taste buds.
Why? The culprit looks like ear infections. Ear infections can damage a taste nerve which runs through the middle ear, causing not only loss of taste sensation, but insensitivity to sweetness and fattiness. Over time people with reduced taste sensation tended to eat more sweet and fatty foods, probably in an effort to overcome their dampened taste threshold. So the calorie intake creeps up and weight gain occurs.
Being aware of the problem can help you make better food choices. Try eating foods with an interesting taste and texture – like fruit instead of sweets or olive oil instead of butter. Of course you should try to lose weight the fast healthy way by drinking Wu-Yi Tea.
